4 Things I am Excited About!

1) Duffy and Sarah: These cd's are awesome! I love Duffy because she is so jazzy but totally modern jazzy. She is great! And I love Sarah Bareilles because she has such a great voice and the piano is wonderful too. Try them out sometime!




2) Arm and Hammer Laundry Detergent: Who know they made laundry soap?! But I am loving it. It smells so good and doesn't clump at all for a powder soap. I came across it on accident when my regular soap wasn't at the store. I don't really want to spend $20 for Tide yet, so I went with this and I am very happy with it!


3) Sophie Kinsella: She is a totaly hilarious British author who has written the Shopaholic series among others. The reason I am so excited is because I was at Target the other night and found out that she she also writes as Madeleine Wickham! Woo hoo! I thought I had read all of her books and was looking forward to a new release in the future, but now I get to go find all the rest of hers under this pen name (and what a great pen name!)




4) Blake: He is so nice. On Friday night, I had to get away and just sleep one night away where I didn't have to worry about Spencer waking up or worrying about kids (I did just take them on vacation by myself). So, I went and slept at my mom's house. It was great. I woke up at 7 and made myself go back to sleep and slept till 930. To top it off, on Sunday I got the flu and Blake took Hailey to church and took care of the kids and me most of the day. I felt so crappy that I even called him on the phone from upstairs when I heard Spencer wake up from his nap and he came and got him. Then, he got up at 4 am to travel to Reno for work. Isn't he great?! The sad thing is I don't have any pictures of him because our file got moved to some other drive that I can never find. So, in place, I will put a picture of this hilarious website that he loves: Strongbad.

I love Sarah Bareilles! She's my new favorite right now too! I've never heard of Duffy - I'll have to look her up. What a sweetie Blake is! That's so nice that he took such good care of you and especially that you could have an entire night away! You deserve it! I hope you're feeling better.

How often does Spencer get up during the night? And how did you determine that Sophie Kinsella also wrote as the other name? And have you read Remember Me? I read that one when Kyle was born. Are we going to your mom's book club on Tuesday? I haven't read the book but I know it is Kathy Mitchell's favorite and they seem to read it often in that group or something. Sorry we haven't gotten together yet. When are we going to? ugh. I'm really not avoiding you. I swear.

Allison--I am feeling lots better. I even cleaned the bathrooms and mopped and cleaned the kitchen!=)
Heather--I am not offended. We have been busy and I haven't made an effort so oh well. Let me know when they do your ward playgroup at the park and we can try to come. Spencer only wakes up every once in awhile. Blake said he knew Spencer was going to "cause problems".=) I am going to the book club. I have read 10 pages. Was too involved in the vampire book. it doensn't matter if you read it anyway. If you want, you can come meet me at my moms. It is at a lady's house across town so we are going together. Let me know.

We have been doing a lot of swimming, popsicle eating, water playing, anything to keep cool in this awful heat! This $15 pool was the best purchase we have ever made, in my opinion! Spencer loves it because it is just a big bath for him. Some people in our ward "donate" their pools to us hot people. It is great. This is Spencer's first swim. Poor kid. Believe it or not, he did enjoy it. Hailey swam across the pool with her floaties, so she was pretty psyched. About ten seconds after the swimming. He was so pooped!

Spencer getting ready to become a Priest for church. He was pretty happy about it and his new responsibilities. Wlliam always being slightly choked. Blake hung up my organizer I got from Marci Durrant's barn sale We had pasta making night competition. It was so fun to use our new pasta roller. Hailey and Spencer and Blake were a team. Brooke and William and I were a team. We really need to do this again! First time Spencer did temple baptisms where he was the baptizer. He baptized Taitlyn! Woo! Lovely winter sunset Made something new! The boys ate them right up! Lunch with Hailey! Another fun bakery order! That's it for January! Always a bit exhausted after December.

Brookey Brooke

Brooke Eileen Bell was born Aug 24th at 11:11 pm. 7 lbs, 15 oz, 20 inches.....and tons of great black hair!! Heres the story for all you interested people. I had cleaned the house all day and played with the kids. Was about to make dinner around 4 and started to feel a little weird and crampy, but didn't think much about it. Around 5, I was making chocolate chip waffles for dinner and realized the contractions had gone on for an hour and were about 3 minutes apart now. Called Blake and said I might be in labor, but don't worry, it would probably go away. Kept making waffles...called my mom and told her I was probably in labor. Blake got home, left for hospital around 6. We went to the ER and they said go to labor and delivery. Around 630, I was at a 4. Got all set up on IV and by the time epidural came around 830, I was at a 6. Moved to a 10 pretty fast after. Pushed a few times and there she was!!
