Day off of School

Image
Hailey had the day off of school Friday. School holidays and summer didn't mean a whole lot to us until we had a kid in school. So, we met up with our cousin Laurie and her kids and went to Krispy Kremes for Halloween donuts and DI. It was an adventure. Here are our finds from DI. For a whopping $7 we got a Hummer, a tacky Easter bunny, a Grinch Christmas game and a green funky orangutan. Good times.

Crazy Little Devils!

Hailey had the day off the other day and since we didn't have to rush off to school, Spencer laid on my bed and watched Cars. He was so happy. Spencer and his BFF's, our cousins! I came downstairs the other day and found Spencer rocking out to Ellen and Rascal Flatts. He is so musical. He always has to play the guitar hero guitar when Coldplay comes on. Hailey said she had to save these "baby strawberries" and she would take care of them and they would grow and grow. She was a bit sad to find them mushed up, but she recovered without to much pain. I got these flowers for $3.50! I will be going back to Fresh and Easy once a week to get some flowers like this. Especially since the dishwasher is broken and I need something pretty to look at. On a side note, Blake got a raise and I am so proud of him!! He is such a hard worker and we love him!

Photo Shoot Fun

It's no secret that I LOVE photography. I love pretty pictures. I am not a great photographer, but I like to try. After many attempts, and 2 wiggly children (Hailey sits still for pictures), we got a few decent ones, I think. Typical Spencer! This kid is wild! Hailey decided I needed my own shoot and she had me do all these funny poses. This was the best of the worst. If you pay me I will show you the other ones.

Mountain Family Date

To keep from going crazy after Conference ended last Sunday, we went on a drive through the mountains. It was a beautiful day and the trees were actually turning yellow. Couldn't believe fall was approaching after weeks of 110 degrees. There was some rain and since the kids don't see rain much, we got out and ran around in it. This is definitely not my finest picture but it was the only one with me and Brooke in it! My two favorite guys We took Blake's car because mine was almost out of gas. It was a fun adventure. I guess we could have stuck with a little car and stuffed our kids into it until the car died or something, but after the fighting in the car, I am grateful we have the van!
