Loving outside (October)

Image
We had to go to Walgreens for flu shots one day and I picked up a snowglobe. which promptly exploded in my hand and all over the kids.  They were wet (they hate being wet) and I was bloody.  It was super awesome.  We still got our flu shots though, well, the older two did. And we had to wait an hour. All in all, I would say it is a funny story now and we'll probably never got to Walgreens for flu shots again. We painted our pumpkins.  Spencer declined, saying he hates painting. Can anyone find William? William has some great fashion sense.  Instead of wearing shorts when it's hot, he wears his pjs and rolls them up.  What a funny guy. Don't remember what this was about but Hailey was sure having a fun time. The last football game! My hanging monkey. He hangs from everything!!  Towel racks (he broke one of the wall).  Everything!  And he can hold on for a long time too. We played kickball after school one day wit...

Life is good and Apple pickin' (Sept)

Annual picture of the kids in the corn.  We were a little late this year so it was starting to die.  Still it's amazing to see how tall the corn gets! Candy and I went shopping one day at a fun antique type shop.  I have been on the hunt for an old door we could make into a headboard for our bed. I was pretty excited to find this one for $35!  Now to make the bed and fix up the door. I planted these mums I got from the Amish in the buckets I got from the neighbors.  I love Amish mums. They last forever and they're only $8. William being hilarious at Menards. He has been with Blake quite a bit the last few months and always comes back with a treat.  I do think he is worth more than $18.99! This is the before.  The wood was covered by carpet and the previous owners put down weathering glue to keep the wood from being ruined from water and snow.  It was a mess though, so Blake is putting tile down. Candy got me this great clock...

Spencer is baptized and Nana and Papa Bell visit!

Image
Spencer on his baptism day.  He has been eagerly awaiting this day and was prepared. We completed the Book of Mormon a few days before he was baptized. I am glad we've been able to keep this tradition going with the kids.   Spencer and Blake, two of a kind.  He was blessed to have alot of family and friends at his baptism.  We had to hold the meeting in the chapel!  His teacher, Mrs L-R, came and our neighbor Tom and our friend Danielle.  We were happy to do missionary work.  There was a strong spirit there and he was smiling all day. Nanah and Papa gave him this blanket, which William tried to steal away right after.  I don't blame him! It's super soft. Grandma and Grandpa have the kids choose their favorite picture of Jesus and they give it to them for their baptism.  Such a pretty picture. We got Spencer his own set of scriptures.  What a great day. We had a great time with Nanah and Papa.  Ther...

Grandma and Grandpa Terry visit (September)

Image
What a crazy busy month we had.  People in and out.  It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Terry come for Spencer's baptism.  We went to Adam di Ahman for the first time.  It was pretty and they were building roads and stuff.  It was really peaceful and we walked around for awhile and had a picnic lunch.  It was Spencer's actual birthday too, so it was fun for him to have the day off of school. Hailey having a pensive moment. We also went to the Far West temple site.  It was pretty neat.  They had plaques all around describing the priesthood.  We collected pinecones from there (we figured we were helping with ground duties) to make a pinecone wreath. Hailey and Grandpa being super awesome. We went to Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith was imprisoned.  They had a visitors center built around the actual jail.  There was a recording of the scripture where Joseph Smith is praying and asks Heavenly Father why all o...
