Colorado

We went to Colorado for the 1st Bell Family Reunion. It was totally great. A 10 hour drive and one ticket later, we got there and the peace was so great. So nice to be somewhere without a million grumpy people and to see some trees! Thanks to the Shaws for all their hard work, time, energy and for Citizen Cope!

Mindy and Ryan hosted the reunion this year and set up a Minute to Win it night. It was highly entertaining to say the least! Hailey did pretty well and is now shooting hair bands all over the house ever since!

Can you get 7 penne's onto a spaghtetti without breaking it? I can't but Mindy and Kellie can!
Technically, Barbie should be the last picture, but I am too lazy to make it happen. Mindy and Ryan had a garage sale Saturday morning and they had a bucket full of toys that we were not about to take home with us. Instead we hid some in Ryan's shop. He found our friend Barbie before we left and attached her to the car with some handy dandy computer ties. Barbie had a fun 10 hour ride home and helped wash the back window during the rain storm. She was such a good sport.....never stopped smiling! Sadly, some girls down the road from us decapitated Barbie and left her head on our porch, but it was fun while it lasted!

First swim for Brookie!


I don't know why this picture is here twice, but it was beautiful! We went on a 1/2 mile hike up a steep rocky mountain. Spencer and Hailey did it and I was so proud of Spencer! He didn't cry once and I only had to help him once. Yay!

We climbed down to a waterfall and it was so loud!! I have never heard such a loud thundering of water! I don't think I could go to Niagra Falls.


Rare picture of Blake and I together!

Izzy and Ella were so nice to "share" their room. What really happened was Spencer wouldn't go to bed ever so he kept everyone up, so they ended up sleeping downstairs. When we got home, we had 6 or 7 of Izzy and Ella's shirts in our suitcase because of all the madness in that room! But they were great girls and played with Hailey and taught her all kinds of fun gymnastics moves that she is still practicing.

Spencer is a dancin' fool!! If you want to see him in action, check out the video to come. Also pictured towards the end is cousin Griffin who has some equally good moves!

We have been doing a lot of swimming, popsicle eating, water playing, anything to keep cool in this awful heat! This $15 pool was the best purchase we have ever made, in my opinion! Spencer loves it because it is just a big bath for him. Some people in our ward "donate" their pools to us hot people. It is great. This is Spencer's first swim. Poor kid. Believe it or not, he did enjoy it. Hailey swam across the pool with her floaties, so she was pretty psyched. About ten seconds after the swimming. He was so pooped!

Spencer getting ready to become a Priest for church. He was pretty happy about it and his new responsibilities. Wlliam always being slightly choked. Blake hung up my organizer I got from Marci Durrant's barn sale We had pasta making night competition. It was so fun to use our new pasta roller. Hailey and Spencer and Blake were a team. Brooke and William and I were a team. We really need to do this again! First time Spencer did temple baptisms where he was the baptizer. He baptized Taitlyn! Woo! Lovely winter sunset Made something new! The boys ate them right up! Lunch with Hailey! Another fun bakery order! That's it for January! Always a bit exhausted after December.

Brookey Brooke

Brooke Eileen Bell was born Aug 24th at 11:11 pm. 7 lbs, 15 oz, 20 inches.....and tons of great black hair!! Heres the story for all you interested people. I had cleaned the house all day and played with the kids. Was about to make dinner around 4 and started to feel a little weird and crampy, but didn't think much about it. Around 5, I was making chocolate chip waffles for dinner and realized the contractions had gone on for an hour and were about 3 minutes apart now. Called Blake and said I might be in labor, but don't worry, it would probably go away. Kept making waffles...called my mom and told her I was probably in labor. Blake got home, left for hospital around 6. We went to the ER and they said go to labor and delivery. Around 630, I was at a 4. Got all set up on IV and by the time epidural came around 830, I was at a 6. Moved to a 10 pretty fast after. Pushed a few times and there she was!! Hooray, no more summer pregnancy.=) We had to stay in the hospital a f...
