Huntington Beach Day 2!!

Because blogger is weird, here are the pictures from night to morning.=)

We had a busy, great, fun day and ended it with a game of Life outside and watched the show Wipeout. Nothing else is funnier than listening to my kids giggle over that show! It was so great! This trip was perfect because we didn't do naps, we didn't pay attention to time, we ate when we wanted, went to bed when we wanted. Best trip ever!!
We walked down to the pier after attempting to drive to the pier. I was tired, but there weren't any parking spots, so Spencer had the great idea to walk down. So, we walked the 8 blocks and it was great. Who can argue with 75 degrees and a beautiful old/new mix of houses and gardens and the ocean! The kids saw these old trees that had really soft bark. It was really neat to see such old trees, and the kids just had to hug them!
This is how Brooke was most of the time. Covered in sand. Eating sand. Throwing sand. Eating sand. Putting sand in cheetos. Life was good for Brookie Cookie!
We went to a bird sanctuary in the morning and the whole place was gorgeous. So peaceful and beautiful. There were so many great textures and colors and a mix of everything! Besides the semi-sulphury smell, it was great!
When Brooke wasn't eating sand, she was getting soaked in the ocean. If we didn't hold on to her, she would have gone bodyboarding on her own!
Spencer saw a guy playing the guitar and found this wood, so this became his guitar. Isn't he cute? And this shirt is just so "beachy"! Spencer wasn't a huge fan of the waves, but he loved the sand! And the pelicans.
Hailey created quite an awesome collection of sea shells. We are going to cover some frames with them and put some beach pictures in them. There were so many whole sea shells, the whole coast was lined with them. My pockets were full of sea shells our first visit. After the first visit, I learned to bring sandwich bags for the collection.
I just love this! Spencer was pushing the stroller like a maniac and was not wanting to run with them, so here ya go!
I had Hailey take a picture of me to prove I was there. Blake hadn't come yet, so it was just me and the kids for this day, but it was so great. Of course we missed Dad, but it was fun to spend mom/kids time.
