Iowa Fun....

Life is definitely slower around these parts, but we have been exploring as much as we can. Hailey started school Monday and loves her teacher and class. Spencer starts tomorrow and is really excited. Me too! He needs to get back to his schedule! They are both going to ride the bus, which will make my life a little easier. The school is so great. Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. There are some pictures of our house below for my family and anyone else who cares! haha
A fun window seat in the front room. Thinking this will get a lot of use. We can see a bunch of trees and the river from here. Love it!
St. Patrick's day popped up in the middle of all this. So, we had "Lucky the Leprechaun" come surprise the kids. He changed the pancakes and milk green.
He also left gold nuggets for the kids. Hailey wrote him notes all day: "How do you turn food green?" "How are you so fast?" "I won't try to catch you." It was pretty fun.
This might be my favorite picture ever of my three cute kiddos!
The road leading up to the house. It really is pretty! The slower pace of life is something to get used to, so trying to think of lots of ideas to fill the time. Although baby William being born soon will definitely fill the time!
Hanging out after school. It's so great to be able to cook dinner really quick while the kids run around outside. Hailey is a good policeman and lets me know if the kids disappear. The other day they found some mud....tons of fun.=)
The kid's rooms are pretty cool. They are called dormer rooms, so they are built into the attic. They have some old crawl spaces that the kids love. Spencer's has a picture of a lion on the handles and he calls it his lion cage. The only annoying thing is when I stand up and hit my head on the ceiling.
Picture of the possible pool. If they fix it, we might use it. Might be nice in the super humid days!
Front room. The fireplace will be great in the winter.
3 season porch these things are called around here. All the windows open and it is nice and breezy! It's been great to have a place for all the toys to go and I can just close the door. There is another half to this on the other side.
Dining room
Here's the exciting kitchen. And ugly peach paint!
Here is a better shot of the outside of the house. The outside is a little old and ghetto, but oh well. It's a rental.=) That tree has a bunch of leaves that turn red in the Fall. Also, there are two cotton blossom type trees that are pink and white that are starting to bloom. So beautiful! So nice to see some color!
There are some houses on the river that have a grassy area right in front of the river. The people set up whatever they want out there and this is my favorite one so far! Doesn't it just look like heaven? I think I am going to have to make friends with these people!
