A walk in the woods (April)

Watch out, there's a bug in the house.
The kids have discovered the panorama on my phone.
We went on a Sunday walk now that the weather is pretty great.  There is a cool grove of trees I saw on my run one day.  The kids always fight me to do new things, then they end up loving it.  Blake had a bad back that day, so we left him in peace.  Lots of fun things to discover out here and now it is greener than ever!
Brooke was so happy to see these flowers.  Check out her adorable teeth.
Brooke fell in the mud.  And it's a huge step because normally she would have a meltdown because it was wet and muddy.  She got mad at first and said we had to go home and change, but then she calmed down and was pretty proud of herself for making it through.
Spencer did a great job of keeping track of William while we were out there.
 The first of the wildflowers!
We love this area because there is so much to see. I love this area because kids can't get lost!  We saw a beaver building a dam too.
I had to introduce the kids to Scrabble, the word nerd in me loves it.
Spencer's teacher thought it was so funny that he got a 100% on his spelling test but spelled his name wrong. Must have been one of those days!
Hailey was getting stressed out one day after school and the next thing I know, she stops and gets cupcake mix out of the cupboard.  Just like her mom!
Brooke provided pizza dinner for us one night with all of her reading coupons.  She was so proud.
We planted two apple trees out front.  We planted them out back last summer and they died, so we got free replacements.  We have a gala and an empire.  Spencer got mad at the end of planting, which was sad because he worked so hard with me to get them planted.
 Come on, he's yummy.
William had shoved some cd's into the car cd player and I looked online to figure out how to get them out.  Turns out using a butter knife with tape on it gets them out.  I had no idea there were three in there!
 William reading with oreo.
Spencer in his music program at school.  He was adorable and did such a great job.  He said he had to wear church clothes to it.  Which is impressive because he's not a big fan of church clothes.
Spencer had to do the country reel dance and got partnered with a girl that annoys him so much!  But he did it and didn't even complain about it.
Isn't he handsome? He did such a great job.  I love watching him sing. He has such a great voice.
The kids all had to find their star at school with how they would help their school.  Brooke's was "clean up during popcorn day". I am thinking that is a messy day!
Hailey's was lengthy and about cleaning up trash around the school.
Spencer's was awesome "scrub your hands!"
