Brooke's birthday party and solar eclipse (August 2017)

We went to the Youngblut's to pick corn. Danielle came with us this time. It's one of our favorite traditions!

Processing corn with one of my best helpers.
Apples from Myra's trees. Such a pretty color.
It seems like our road is constantly being worked on and the kids love watching.
Finished the table! It took a few weeks but it turned out great.
Jessica painted this beautiful picture and it spoke to me. I love the flowers and how she is looking forward.
Making sugar cookies with every cookie cutter.
Brooke wanted to have her birthday party at the park, her favorite place. It was a full house and lots of fun!
We played Red Rover

We did it outside since there were a lot of kids.  Brooke has many good friends. We wish we could be in a neighborhood with all of them!! Happy 8th birthday Brooke. You have a strong and bright spirit. You have taught us so much and you love so much.
Helping out of course!

We made baked Alaska and it turned out great! But next time we'll invite friends because it made so much!
Spencer found this chair on the side of the road and against my better judgement, I let him bring it home. He cleaned it and used it at his desk.
Construction workers babysitters.

We watched the Tidwells on eclipse day.  It was a bit cloudy and we only saw it for a few minutes but it was still pretty cool. Any time with the Tidwells is cool!
