January 2019
UnoCorns. Like uno but with unicorns
Went to the Boise foothills to escape. It's hard to have Christmas break in a place where you don't know normal traditions! But we managed to find things to do. We just weren't used to it being warmish during December
Hiking buddy
We were excited because we found a free trade shop in Boise.
I loved this quote.
New glasses!
The Mullens were getting rid of this typing machine and Spencer lugged it home. It's been pretty entertaining!
A social media girl took fancy pictures of my food in exchange for...food! I couldn't believe how great she made it look!
Learned to make artisan bread
President Nelson announced that boys turning 11 in this year could get the priesthood in January and start going to Young Mens! We were so surprised and happy for Spencer. He wasn't sure if he was ready to get the priesthood so he prayed about it and learned that he was ready! Exciting news!
Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. Grandma was nice to help William with his homework one day.
Went to the temple with my parents while they were here.
New glasses again!
Took my parents to explore downtown Boise. So many cool spots. We went to Freak Alley, where local artists make art and it's different every time. It's amazing what people can do with paint!
Michelle told us about a Mexican dish that I can't remember now. But we found some in Nampa! It was a hole in the wall, which are always the best!
Of course we had to go to Boise Fry!
We might up with the Bells and had lunch and chatted. It was good to have both grandparents with us for Spencer's special time. Grandpa was telling some story here. Sure it was a good one!
Future generations! This is what you want your yeast, water and sugar to look like before you mix in the other ingredients.
It was a great day when Spencer got the priesthood. So grateful he was prepared and worthy and that Heavenly Father has this trust in him!
Best friends. Truly! The moves have been hard but nothing brings you closer than constantly moving together!
Proud of our boy
Spencer's good heart is such a blessing to our family
And these two too and Brooke, of course.
We took my parents to Burns for the day. They served their mission there and visited some of the people they knew. William wasn't feeling very well and Spencer came along to keep him company. It worked out pretty well! We went to a pizza place and they played arcade games. It was a good time.
Stopped in the snow on the way back and Grandpa made a snow angel. It was one of the best things ever! I can see where I get my quirkiness from. We had a great time with them and are excited for when they'll come back.
Learned how to make marshmallows. So much better than store marshmallows
Don't ask!
My dad sent this silpat to help with my baking. That was so nice of him! It has come in handy.
Someone gave William this huge bear!
My buddy helping me find recipes. Yes, that's a good amount of butter.
These two are always making up fun games and activities.
Spencer gave his wax museum speech about a guy. I can't remember who BUT I do remember his was three pages long, front and back and he didn't even have to research because he has already read so much. He has an amazing brain for research!
Spencer played basketball on a local team. He learned alot and worked hard and now he can play basketball at church with other guys so that's awesome.
Spencer got to go to the temple for the first time. It was a great experience. He was reverent and asked a lot of questions. Excited for his new experiences!

We do exist!
