4th of July (late!!)
Well, it's October and here I am talking about 4th of July. But I am determined to keep up on this blog! We went to the neighborhood picnic at our friend's house.
Spencer and Evan
They did a bike parade for all the kids. Spencer was thrilled to use this John Deere bike.
Brooke rides so fast it was hard to get a good picture of her! I like to call her "Ramona" from the Beverly Cleary books. She is a maniac!
Hailey had fun decorating her bike.
These guys were happy as long as they were moving.
All the kids in the parade
The kids thought William should be sitting in Hailey's seat. Few more years.
We went and saw Despicable Me 2 on an awesome groupon in a little town near us. It was a great time and 3-D. I may or may not have cried.
Sparkler fun. The town doesn't let us do street fireworks because it's a college town and never know what those crazy kids will do. So, 4th of July is a little lame out here, but we still had fun. Next year, we'll probably head out West for the 4th!
The flowers were in bloom in our yard. So beautiful! !hen we buy a house someday, our yard will have to be awesome like this one!
Waffle cone treat. Our new tradition for 4th of July. Sprinkles and waffle cones. Blake's face isn't a new tradition though.
We didn't know when fireworks would start, so we went and waited, but they took so long that we ended up putting the kids to bed around 10. Ten minutes after they were in bed, we heard the fireworks start and they were awesome. In spite of the lack of fireworks, we had a great day. First 4th in Cedar Falls!
