Spring!!!!!

We have lost/broke the pieces to candy land so we have to make our own pieces.  We get anything we can find. It's pretty entertaining to see what everyone comes up with.

It was 30 degrees and Brooke busted out the shorts.  It really didn't feel that cold either!  The Iowa winter sure toughens you up.  Brooke was meant to be a beach girl and here she is, landlocked!  She wants to learn how to surf too.  Someday!

Blake slipped on the wet stairs and landed right on his elbow.  It hurt him so bad, that he kicked the bench (see below), which then broke the bench.  And his toe.  He doesn't usually have a temper but we had been under a bit of stress and it just all came out on the bench.  Happily, I didn't love the bench anyway.

Hailey's class created inventions for the science fair.  She made a crib with a tent on top to keep babies inside!  It was from personal experience, since William keeps climbing out of his crib. 

William's sleep schedule has been awful lately.  Doesn't nap but if he falls asleep on accident, he isn't tired by bed time.  But if he stays up all day, he is very grumpy.  And thanks to a noisy neighbor, he was waking up every morning at 3 am!  Hopefully, he will get back into a normal schedule.

Spencer singing his heart out at the 1st grade performance. He was so cute and wanted to keep all of the songs  a secret.  He did all the hand motions and did such a great job.  Was so proud of him.  He has done so well in 1st grade.  A great experience for him.

 

Brooke had crazy hair day at preschool.  Usually she doesn't like this kind of stuff because she feels dumb, but she loved it this time!  She was able to keep quite a few in there the whole time.

I think it's the funniest thing when kids are learning how to dress and undress. It seems like they always get trapped in funny positions.

This is Brooke's friend, Milo.  He is the most mellow kid.  He was at our house for 4 hours one day and it didn't even feel like it.  We walked him home because, according to GPS, it was 1 mile, but really it was 2.  4 miles round trip.  The kids did pretty well. William pooped out though.  Just couldn't stay awake!
