We bought a house! (June)

After three years of renting, we bought a house.  It was such a blessing because we weren't sure if we could buy one but it all worked out.  We found a great house built in 1951 with all kinds of fun features.  When we first looked at the house, William sat in the corner and said, "This is our home."  It hasn't been a hard move at all.  Everyone was so happy to move here. It is on a quiet street. Maybe one car goes by in an hour.
We knew there was wood floor under the carpet and just couldn't let it go.  The morning after we had moved all of our stuff in, I came out to see Blake ripping up the carpet.  Then he got busy refinishing the wood floors.  It took about 2 weeks or so, lots of late nights but we got it done! The kids helped rip up carpets and pull out nails.

Enjoying the fire pit out back.  We have liked having it.

We were so tired and out of schedule from all the moving that William laid his head down on the cart and went to sleep.
The girls got new swimsuits.  They get along pretty great.

Our friends, Natalie, Maejae and Parker came to play before they moved.  They loved the secret attic.  The kids have made it their pioneer game place. It's a pretty fun spot!
Ah, summer!!  We have loved our outdoor freedom.
This house had some stuff left in it.  This pot was one of them.  I just had to get an aloe vera plant to represent our desert roots.
The boys' bedroom was a little ripped up as we finished floors, so they slept on the floor on their mattresses. I checked on them to find William sleeping off of his bed.

The boys were watching a movie one day and it was so cute.  They have gotten to be good buds.
I went shopping with the kids and when we got home, found these sandals in the bag.  I have no idea how they got there but they were paid for and they were my size.  Pretty funny.
We got a pass to the local pool and it has been so great. Has helped a lot in the afternoon to get rid of some energy!

New house and bed equals new bedding!  Hailey made the bed and just had to lay in it!

Blake was seriously kicking butt with these floors.  I was so amazed by his hard work.  He just jumped right in.
Brooke chose these strawberry plants for our garden.  They turned out to be everbearing plants, which will be great next year when they multiply like crazy!
