Griffin

So, we thought things couldn't get any harder, but they have. Blake's sister had a baby boy on Thursday morning and he is at primary Children's in Salt Lake because he has underdeveloped lungs and fluid and foam in them. He aspirated when he was born, so we are all very concerned about him. Please pray for this little guy. I don't even have a picture, but I am sure he is such a cutie like his two older sisters. I have had a lot of time to reflect on things recently with all of these crazy events going on in our lives. Today my mom said "We are humble okay?!" But really, sometimes hard things in life happen to bring us closer to our Heavenly Father and help us to realize all he has done for us. Tonight, when I was at TC's viewing, I just kept thinking how he has affected others. Many people I have talked with have said "I want to be more like TC, friendly and happy and smiley." And it makes us all think what kind of legacy are we leaving be...

The Silver Lining

Here is our silver lining.....the house we have been working on for two months now is closing tomorrow. Yay After nearly six years of apartments, we will finally live in a place that is our own. God must have known that we needed something to put a smile on our faces.

One More Time.....

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse (right)......I hear a shreaking last night at 1030 and go to the kid's room to find Hailey throwing up all over her bed. So, we cleaned up and put her back to sleep. She woke up Spencer so he finally went back to sleep. About 15 minutes later, more screaming and more throwing up. At least Spencer didn't wake up this time. So, on top of washing all of Blake's and my clothes (dr's orders), I am now washing lots of bedding. And bleaching the house from top to bottom. And the toilet overflowed. Sheesh. But Blake is coming home today, thank goodness!! They found an antibiotic that is killing the MRSA. We are ready to have him back. I honestly don't know how single moms do it.

TC

We are sad to say that TC has passed tonight. What a little sweetheart he is. We have always enjoyed him and are so grateful for all he has taught as a result of this tragedy. He was an example for so many people, a great missionary, and an uplifting person. Our thoughts and love go to Cliff and Becky and their family during this hard time. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to grow up with him and to be able to call him family.

Blake

Blake had his abscess cleaned and drained yesterday afternoon and things are looking better. We still aren't sure when he will be out of the hospital because some of his arm is still a little swollen and red by his elbow. Hopefully, he will be out soon though. They are figuring out a solution so that we won't have to go through this again. We are so grateful to my parents and Sarah for helping out with the kids so I could be down there with him. Also, thanks to Clayton for bringing candy and a People magazine and my mom for the PC magazine. Michelle for the tulips that have brightened up the room. And of course, the Bells for all their concern and prayers. I know it has been hard to be in Idaho during this. Especially Candy for talking to me the other night at midnight while I was driving home so I wouldn't fall asleep. We have been taking more pictures, so will post those soon.

Something to Brighten Your Day

When life is hard, I am so glad to have my two little sweethearts.=) (Well, three counting Blake.)

When it Rains,It Pours.... (Warning, gross looking pictures)

So, it's not like there isn't enough going on in the family right now with TC and all, but now Blake had to add to the fun. When he was in the military, he got a brown recluse spider bite and while he was being treated for it, he contracted merca from the guy next to him. Ever since, he gets these boils that he is usually able to take care of with his medical expertise.=) Tuesday night, he got another one and by Thursday afternoon, it had exploded into a huge abscess, his arm was red and swollen like the michelin man. He was in a lot of pain so we went to the ER. The guy squeezed it (a big no no) and sent us home with some antibiotics. We were up all night Thursday night because he couldn't sleep because of the pain. Have you ever gone to Walmart at 4 am to get Benadryl so your husband can sleep? I have and I can tell you, there was one other person there and he was buying pizza and beer. On the upside, I did get to talk to my brother Clayton who works nights. Thi...
