Happy Halloween (October)
We went to a Halloween carnival at church. Spencer spent a lot of time bowling.
Brooke stuck it out at Bingo for the whole time!
Don't get in the way of a hungry storm trooper!
We were cool this year and decorated our van.
Brooke and Nelson. These two are the best.
It was such a nice day, they went through their candy outside. Hailey and Spencer were helping Blake clean up the church after the party.
Blake was trying to secretly burn leaves because we're not allowed to here. It was supposed to be smoke free. You can see it wasn't! But it was really entertaining to watch!
We had a half day of raking leaves. Probably 60 bags or so this year. It was a lot of work.
Dry ice is always fun.
So glad I have this little guy after school for a few hours.
Made Halloween cupcakes
We started a scripture tote to encourage personal study. It's been going ok. As long as we know where all the scriptures are!
Ghost pancakes
I don't know why this is so funny to me, but it is.
This was a video on accident. But we went to the Halloween parade at school. It was fun to see all the kids.Hailey was happy because the student council made it so the 6th graders could be in it. Usually they aren't. She has had fun in student council.
Spencer's typical hand motion. He is the best storm trooper ever. He is a total Star Wars fan and knows so much about it. It's so fun to hear him talk about it.
Brooke as Rey. Hooray for girl power! She loved being Rey. I loved watching her be a strong girl character!
Even Darth Vader needs to have fun.
Tom brought the kids Halloween buckets. Oh my goodness, we had so many Halloween treats this year!
Super awesome Star Wars troop. William made it for six houses before he couldn't anymore. He had been feeling sick all day and sadly, he couldn't make it. So, Blake took him home. The kids and I met up with some friends and went for two hours. They loved it! Was a great Halloween and they shared with William.
Wow, that's a lotta candy.
William working hard on his name.
I had a great birthday. My friend Megan brought me this balloon (that blew away that day) and a cupcake. And other friends brought gifts. And my family called. Blake took me out and got me a fitbit for my running. It was a good day.
We went to a Halloween event at the YMCA. It was a good time.
Hailey has been working hard reading scriptures.
Blake got me these awesome running socks for my birthday. They are so soft and comfortable!
After we finished our leaves, we worked on the neighbors!
The leaf vacuum has been pretty cool. We all take turns and it crunches them up super small so we can get more into the bags.
We cram as many bags as we can into the car and take them to the leaf graveyard. This is always interesting.
Brooke wrote about her Halloween character Rey. The best line is "I wear pants." Seriously, she is so cute.
We worked so hard digging a trench for the garden boxes. It took four or five hours. The kids did pretty good with a little whining. When we went to bed William said, "We digged and then we went to bed." Pretty much!
The kids had a mega playdate one day with lots of kids.
Hailey and her friends had a Mysterious Benedict Society party. They are so good at making up fun parties.
William bought this with the money he earned from digging the garden. He was so proud.
Spencer was kid of the week and had to write about himself in the newspaper. He did a great job. The funniest part was that he said his favorite song was "The Death March" from Star Wars.
William might be a little OCD.
In 3rd grade, some older people give scarves and hats to the kids. Spencer loved his. I think he looks like Gru from Despicable Me and that he is so cute.
Flu shots. We thought they would be nasal sprays but they stopped doing them so they had to get actual shots. They made it through.
These two are just best buds.
