July 2021
Blake and I went to my cousin, Caleb's wedding. It was fun to be with family. We were tired but it was good. Turned out we were tired because we had Covid and didn't know. After three weeks in bed and it going through the kids, we made it through. Phew!
It's pretty cute how they all snuggle up to Blake.
We took care of the Bells' chickens when they were gone. This turkey was pretty interesting!
Liz painted me this beautiful chicken picture. I love it!
Ouch! Brooke is a good sport. This tooth is coming in and with all the braces, it's crazy!
From our garden!
Hooray! The Pence's came to visit! It was the happiest reunion. We got right back into the regular routine with them. Blake and Ryan were creatively getting air out of the tubes.
We floated the Kuna Creek.
We got matching shirts and took our annual corn picture.
Not sure what this was about!
We went to Barbacoa which is the best place ever of all time. The Pence's are foodies so we were sure this would make them happy and it did! So grateful they came all the way to the West Coast for us!
Just before they set the steak on fire! It's such a fun time thought I am always a little nervous about the cups of water exploding from the heat.
Ryan is a huge fan of foosball. It was so fun to see all of them playing together. Seriously, so cute!
We found huckleberries!!
After the lake, we found huckleberries but man, we were getting tired!
Besties!
Blake always jumps in with the building.
Rented jet ski's. That was fantastic! Having teens drive you is always a leap of faith. Sidney figured out how to do it so well that my eye glasses flew off into the water and joined all the other things at the bottom at Payette Lake.
Seriously! So cute.
Boise Fry Co! An Idaho classic. Burgers and variety of fries. Happy kids!
These kids are such great friends. They have so many memories and fun times together. They connected instantly again! It was so fun to see them at the front door and such a happy lift to our hearts. We ate some good food, watched tons of movies late into the night and caught up on life.
Spence and Garrett sharing a tube. So funny!
Handsome guy!
I started this quilt from the kids clothes and old scraps when William was 2. I finally finished the top and the bottom! It's a miracle! Now, I need to do the yarns to connect the pieces.
We biked to the library and got some ice cream. It is fun to live in a town where you can bike anywhere! These two love biking together.
So exciting to see these grow!
We were at Ashley's house and Spencer came over with this double decker chicken nugget sandwich, ha!
The kids got this picture of me relaxing in the pool.
Building the gazebo. Always building something!
We got some rewards from the City Hall. The kids obviously did a bunch of work to earn them!
A girl reached out to me to donate desserts to a morning breakfast meeting. She exchanged me a photo shoot for it. It was out of my comfort zone for sure but I am grateful I did it!
The divorce decree of Brooke and Nelson. So sad to see this ending.
We met up with the Tidwells and Hatches in Burley! What a fun reunion. We went to a spray pad and had lunch together and talked forever. Love our Iowa people!
Karen had to take a quick nap before she drove back.
We got trapped in an hour long traffic jam after. Messed around with the seats, made up stories about people and Spencer did a Chinese fire drill. Turned lemons into lemonade.
There is a funny video of William playing a "pop out of the box" game. I love their creativity!
Blake joined us in the pool. He always amps up the fun!
4th of July fun!
Our organizer!
Another imaginary game
Spencer drinking from the fancy water bottle. He has fancy ways.
Blake is always doing chicken process improvement.
We blew up some stuff with The Spainhowers this year. Good times! Always fun to light stuff on fire.
