Happy Birthday Brooke Part 2 (August)
Brooke was such a happy new 7 year old. She loved the Princess in Black books.
Grandma Barb knows she loves frogs so she sent her frog shirts and figurines. She was very excited that they were fragile.
For breakfast, she had chocolate chip pancakes.
Trying out her new skateboard. It takes a bit of learning but she has had fun with it.
Brooke had a long and fun list of things she wanted to do on her birthday. Of course, they involved frog hunting. We were lucky to find a bunch at a spot our friends told us about. It was super exciting to have dad with us too. He took a surprise half day off.
What a pretty new 7 year old girl!!
It was a super humid day but we pushed through and had a good time.
Our family picture turned into pictures of everyone just for fun.
What a trooper dad is carrying William on this nasty hot day!
First signs of fall.
Brooke is such a fun and adventurous person. She always wants to try new things and is excited about everything!!! She is a great sharer and kind to people and loves to bake. She is a great artist and reader and likes to read her Book of Mormon. She is really smart and always has an answer or question for everything.
He looks so yummy here.
We went to the library for another part of fun birthday day. Brooke is usually found in the Ispy section or the cookbook section.
Cool barn we saw while on a drive. We had to wait to pick up Hailey from an activity so we just drove down a dirt road we had never been down. It was so fun to see everything growing.
Instead of ice cream, Brooke wanted frozen yogurt, which makes everyone super happy. She is always trying to convince everyone to get frozen yogurt instead of cake on their birthdays because she loves it so much.
Hailey was at her cooking class at the Bailey's and she made "brookies" just for Brookes' birthday and sent them home with Hailey. They are one of our most favorite cookies.
Blake did an interesting hair shaving experiment before shaving his hair. Scary!
The next part of Brooke's birthday was chasing bottle caps down the water in the gutter. She loves to race them down the "river". It is actually super fun and keeps them very occupied. Brooke is so creative. She can make fun from nothing.
Cool reflection pictures.
German pancake for dinner. What an easy and fun birthday!! It was lucky because it was the day before school started this year, so it was fun to celebrate the last day of summer too. We are so blessed to have Brooke in our family. She is a snuggly, wild, hilarious girl. She is very much into organizing (in her own way), jumping on the trampoline, playing with William and the kids and giving hugs. We love her!
