Happy Halloween (october)

When we go out West, we try to stock up on our favorite stuff that we can't get out here.  I think this was pretty successful though our friend had to bring us more hot chocolate when they went out at Christmas!
Spencer organized all of his money by the Book of Mormon.  Not sure what the point was, but pretty funny.
Nothing like a beautiful yellow tree!
After we got back from the funeral, we were all a bit bummed out.  We decided to go to Hotel Transylvania 2 (kinda dumb) and the grocery store restaurant (Pretty good!)  It helped lift our spirits a bit.
William has been a bit of a monster at staying in his bed at night and wanting me to lay with him until he falls asleep. I was so tired after the move and everything that I just gave in.  Well, I don't know what set me off but I was done with that and put him back to bed 75 times in one night.  Spencer took 100 times.  Eventually he got too tired to get out of bed. It took him about a week to stay and now it is fine. Except I wake up in the morning and find that he has snuck his  way into our bed.
We went on a field trip to the dairy and William got to pet the goats.
And he loved "milking" the cow.  He did it forever!  Then we had ice cream.
Such a huge leaf!
We went to a Halloween activity at the YMCA.  They had crafts and snacks and activities.  The kids loved it.
William on the right going down the huge slide. He went a ton of times.
Brooke and her BFF Addie. It's so funny because we'll talk about anyone named Addie and Brooke will say, "Oh, my BFF Addie, which one?  Because she has two BFF's named Addie"
The kids will always hold reptiles! They love them!!

The Halloween parade is always a big hit.  Hailey didn't walk this year. I think 4th grade and up just watch.

Good fun after school
Carving pumpkins.  Always messy, stinky and fun.  It's nice that the kids are getting old enough that I'm not carving four pumpkins.

Spencer was so grossed out by the pumpkin guts that he had to use a towel to get them out.  Funny guy! And what a great haircut.

We had a Halloween dinner of mummy dogs and grapes and stuff.  Holiday meals are always fun.
We went to the church trunk or treat.  There were some fun activities for the kids.

Witch, Army guy, Army guy, Witch
With Blake's newly bald head, we decided to dress up as Bellatrix and Voldemort from Harry Potter.  We even had awesome stick wands.

Our trick or treating group.
William did awesome this year.  He didn't even want my help.
Brooke had to get a picture by this red tree because she just loves these trees so much!
This old house was built in the early 1900's and was a hideout for Al Capone at one point.  There are some awesome old and creepy houses out here.
Good haul this year.
Two at once, why not?

Hailey sticking her "tongue" out
